Over the past 50 years, the Historical Society has worked with the local Boy Scouts to conduct Eagle projects which benefit the building and grounds of the Cannon Ball House. Most recently, the library has been catalogued, displays cases have been created, the metal sign describing the Battle of Springfield has been repainted, an Open House sign was created with changeable dates, and the front and garden fencing was refurbished or replaced.
The Springfield Historical Society appreciates the effort of all scouts, their families , leaders and benefactors that contribute to these projects.
